Fishing and Boaters

Access to the Ocean, the Islands of the Bahamas, and Beyond

For Ocean Access: Boaters can depart out of the Palm Beach Inlet or out of the Jupiter Inlet.

Both our locations are minutes from prime fishing grounds 20-40 minutes away depending on which hot spot is producing fish catches.

Productive reefs (natural and artificial) exist in 50 feet through 200 feet of water. The Gulf Stream comes to its closest point of land around the Palm Beach and Jupiter Inlets. All fishing 'catching' is done from 1/4 mile to 3 miles from shore.

Catches consist of snappers, yellowtail, mutton, lane vermillion, redfish, king & spanish mackerel, dolphin, red, gray & black grouper, rockhindes, barracudas, cobia, bonito's (false albacore), sailfish, sharks and many other bottom species.

The Islands of the Bahamas: The Anchorage at Southwind “Makes a great jumping off point to your Bahamas trip with West End, Grand Bahamas only 57 nautical miles away."

The Perfect Boating Location - The Anchorage adjoins the expansive saltwater basin know as “North Lake.” Though in the heart of Palm Beach County’s marine industry district, The Anchorage at Southwinds is particularly convenient to Lott Brother’s Tackle and Marina, located across the water. Within minutes of leaving the dock, boaters and anglers can pull up in their boat to pick up bait, ice, tackle and advice on what the day might offer from some of the best fishermen in the area. If your boat can be trailered, the Village of North Palm Beach offers reasonable trailer storage at its secured yard and the use of a boat launch. (See the first and second link directly below)
